    National Communication Centre hails Bahraini women’s achievements

    Manama: The  The National Communication Centre (NCC) organized a celebration to mark Bahraini Women’s Day, which this year comes under the theme ““Bahraini Women in the National Development… A Journey of Progress in a Dedicated Nation”.

     

    This year’s celebrations also coincided with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women.

     

    NCC Chief Yousif Mohamed Al-Binkhalil, CEO of the NCC, extended his deepest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women.

    Al-Binkhalil also congratulated all Bahraini women and hoped they continue realising wide-ranging achievements across all fields, stressing that they play a fundamental role in the Kingdom’s comprehensive development.

     

    He underscored the far-reaching milestones secured by Bahraini women,  noting the pioneering role played by the Supreme Council for Women in laying foundations for the advancement of Bahraini women. He lauded the council’s initiatives which allowed for Bahrain women to continue their advancement across all fields.

     

    He highlighted the significant role played by Bahraini women in the NCC. He indicated that women constitute 68% of the total number of employees and affirmed that 88% occupy leadership positions.

     

    He also praised the important role of the NCC’s Equal Opportunities Committee for including women’s needs in the development plans and programs that promote equal opportunities and gender equality.
