    National Day Table Tennis Championship winners crowned

    Bahrain : Saar Club table tennis player Mohammed Abbas clinched the National Day championship after beating his teammate Sayyed Mortadha Hussein by three sets to two.

    The championship was held on the occasion of the kingdom’s National Days, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State as an Arab and Muslim state, founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.

    Bahrain Table Tennis Association Chairperson Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa presented the winner with a trophy in the public category.

    Vice Chairman Ali Al Madeh crowned the winners of the double public category Mohammed Abbas and Elyas Al Yassi, which finished first, outclassing Hassan Abdulrahim and Sayyed Mortadha Hussein.

    Competitions Committee Chairman Salman Youssef crowned Mohammed Nader (A’ali Club) who won the trophies of the U-16 and U-13 categories and runner-up Mohammed Naji, also from A’ali Club.

    Secretary General Abbas Al Sayyed Hameed, also presented the cup to Mohammed Naji and Ali Hassan (A’ali Club), winners of the U-16 and U-13 categories. Ahmed Jaffer and Hussein Abbas (Tubli Club) finished second.
