The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi received Bangladesh Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam.
The two sides reviewed topics of common interest, especially with regard to supporting and enhancing the enjoyment of expatriates of their rights guaranteed to them under the provisions of the Constitution and relevant international and regional agreements.
Al Derazi discussed the communication and follow-up carried out by NIHR with expatriate workers to preserve their rights.
The meeting also reviewed strengthening cooperation and coordination to unify efforts in areas related to expatriate labor and human rights.
The ambassador appreciated the humanitarian efforts of the institution towards expatriate workers, praising the measures taken by Bahrain to provide an appropriate environment for expatriates during the pandemic.
