Bahrain : The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi received a delegation from the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, headed by Professor Tatiana Moskalkova.
Al Darazi noted the importance of activating the MoU recently signed between the two sides, starting information exchange and technical cooperation, and working on holding events and training programs to introduce human rights concepts and principles at various local, national and regional levels.
Moskalkova thanked NIHR’s president for the opportunity to gain insights into the NIHR’s role in protecting human rights and its efforts to promote human rights in the Kingdom, in cooperation with its local partners.
Moskalkova invited the NIHR to be a permanent observer member in the annual meetings of Annual Meetings of the Eurasian Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions. He also invited athe institution to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of Human Rights Protection in the Eurasian” through the exchange of best practices.
