Bahrain : Nineteen suspects accused of forming a criminal group engaged in trafficking in persons have been referred by the Public Prosecution to the High Criminal Court for trial on October 12.
The suspects were charged with duping female domestic workers into prostitution by deluding them of better-paid job opportunities. The eleven victims were forced into prostitution after transporting them to vice dens and depriving them of their freedom.
After completing investigations, the Public Prosecution ordered to remand 18 suspects in custody and issued an arrest warrant for a female suspect who is at large. It also ordered the referral of the suspects to the criminal court for trial.
