    NSSA participates in Access to Space for All meeting

    New York : National Space Science Authority (NSSA) team headed by NSSA CEO Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri participated in Access to Space for All meeting and for Drop Tower Experiment Series (DropTES) Fellowship Program, in response to the invitation received from the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).

    The meeting presented the most prominent space applications available to the member states of the UNOOSA, in cooperation with a number of space agencies and research centers to enable everyone to access space.

    The applications aims at serving efforts to achieve sustainable development goals and supporting newly-joined countries in the space sector.

    The meeting reviewed space science applications examples and its significance in serving various development projects.

    NSSA CEO stressed the importance of highlighting the role of space applications and making them available to all to benefit from.

    He pointed out that space applications would not have succeeded without the presence of the appropriate technical infrastructure and the provision of generations of competencies capable of inspire from those sciences and serve human societies to achieve sustainable development and prosperity.

    “Our Kingdom receives His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s support to pursue the best of future sciences and Bahrain had made advanced progresses in building the necessary infrastructure to accommodate various modern technologies, as various government agencies have worked, including the NSSA, to build national capacities in various scientific, technical and artistic fields,” Al Aseeri added.
