Good news.
This is because the independent group OCTA Research Group reported that the Covid-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) has returned to less than 10%.
In the data shared by OCTA Research Fellow Dr. Guido David this Thursday, it was known that until Tuesday, June 13, the positivity rate of Covid-19 in the region has dropped to 9.4%.
This is a significant decrease from the previous 14.6% on June 6.
The positivity rate refers to the percentage of people who have tested positive for Covid-19, from the total number of individuals who have been tested.
Meanwhile, David also reported that hospital bed occupancy in NCR also slightly decreased to 24.1% from the previous 25.5%, during the same period.
David added, for now the NCR remains at low risk of COVID-19.
“NCR 7-day testing positivity rate decreased below 10%, to 9.4% as of June 13 2023. It was at 14.6% on June 6. Over the same period, hospital bed occupancy in the NCR decreased from 25.5% to 24.1%. NCR remained at LOW RISK. #COVID19 #covid,” tweet ni David.
In the previous tweet, David also said that the country’s nationwide positivity rate for Covid-19 until June 14, 2023 is only 11.9%.
“June 14 2023 DOH reported 468 new cases, 0 deaths, 733 recoveries 9843 active cases. 11.9% 7-day positivity rate. 105 cases in NCR. Projecting 500-600 new cases on 6.15.23,” aniya pa.
