    Oil Minister meets UAE’s Climate and Environment minister

    Abu Dhabi :  Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina met with Emirati Minister of Climate Change and Environment Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri  on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).

    The minister affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen climate and environmental cooperation with the UAE to work on climate and environmental issues in the region and develop international efforts aimed at finding effective solutions.

    He affirmed the Kingdom’s support for the environmental and climate initiatives adopted by the UAE in terms of strengthening international partnerships and supporting technology and climate innovation.

    Dr. Bin Daina noted that the ADSW is one of the most important initiatives aimed at discussing ways to stimulate climate action, promote innovation and build a more sustainable world.

    Minister Almheiri expressed her country’s pride in the strong bilateral relations, praising their cooperation in various fields, especially in the fields of environment, climate change and sustainable development.

    She wished Bahrain further progress and success in developing climate action and achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
