Manama: A batch of 580 high-achieving students affiliated with the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) have been honoured in recognition of their outstanding results.The ceremony was held at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Sakhir Campus, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, RCO board of trustees’ chairman.Addressing the ceremony, he paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, RCO Honorary President, for his keenness on Bahraini orphans’ education excellence and decent living conditions.
He commended the support of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, lauding His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for backing the charity foundation.He congratulated the outstanding students and their parents, hailing the cooperation of the Ministry of Education, University of Bahrain and other public and private establishments.RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustapha Al-Sayyed hailed the royal care and support, commending HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for patronising the ceremony.Speaking on behalf of the honourees, student Zainab Abdulla Abdulrahman paid tribute to HM the King, thanking HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for his patronage.RCO Board of Trustees’ Deputy Chairman Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al-Qattan and Dr. Al-Sayyed then presented the laureates with the Excellence Award.
