    Over 1,700 people applied for optional home isolation

    1,718 asymptomatic active COVID-19 cases have applied for optional home self-isolation.

    “The capacity of the isolation and treatment centers in Bahrain is 8,170 beds, of which 3,922 beds are occupied, and 1,718 of the existing cases have been applied to the optional home isolation. The capacity of the precautionary quarantine centers is 3410 beds, the occupancy of which is 668 beds, “said Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health.

    “Bahrain has a percentage of 70.45 recoveries from the total confirmed cases and a death rate of 0.24%,” he added.

    Its the third-highest recovery percentage and the second-lowest death rate from the virus among the GCC countries.

    Currently, Bahrain is the least affected country in the GCC.

    He recalled the importance of wearing mask in public spaces and urged everyone to call 444 if any symptoms faced, and to stay in isolation.
