His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa ordered to exempt healthcare workers on the frontlines combating the coronavirus pandemic who have not been able to renew their licenses since February 2020 from paying any fines or financial dues for not renewing their licenses.
HRH Premier’s order comes in appreciation of the great efforts exerted by healthcare workers to combat COVID-19 in a manner that guarantees the safety and health of the Kingdom’s citizens and residents.
Bahrain had paid homage to the healthcare workers in many ways, one of those is by deciding to adopt a day for Bahraini Doctors on the first Wednesday of November each year.
An award will be allocated to honor distinguished Bahraini doctors in curative and medical research on this day.
The Bahrain Medical Society (BMS) has expressed deepest thanks and gratitude to HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa following the issuance of his order to exempt doctors from license renewal delay fines hailed by BMS
BMS President, Dr. Ghada Al-Qassim, said that HRH Premier’s positive response to the request submitted by BMS in this regard confirms his constant care and support for doctors.
Al-Qassim asserted that the Prime Minister’s kind gesture has filled the hearts of the medical staff with joy, adding that they extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier.
She pointed out that the Premier’s order will reflect positively not only on doctors, but also on the recipients of health services, as it embodies his constant follow-up on the needs of all social segments.
The kingdom has recorded 30,931 coronavirus cases and 101 deaths.
