    Precautionary quarantine protocol Bahrain update

    Manama: Following approval by the Government Executive Committee, and based on the latest international data and developments, the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has highlighted that starting from Thursday, 13 January 2022, the precautionary quarantine period will be seven days  from the date of infection for individuals  that hold a green shield on the BeAware Bahrain application.  Green shield holders can exit quarantine after seven days without taking a PCR test.  Individuals who are unvaccinated, or hold either a yellow or red shield on the BeAware Bahrain app, must quarantine for ten days from the date of infection and can exit quarantine after ten days without taking a PCR test.

     

    The Taskforce also announced an update to the precautionary quarantine protocol for travellers entering the Kingdom of Bahrain through all  ports of arrival. Individuals holding a yellow or red shield on the BeAware Bahrain app and unvaccinated travellers will need to quarantine on arrival for a period of seven days. Travellers who hold a green shield on the BeAware Bahrain application are not required to quarantine. The Taskforce stressed the importance of conducting a PCR test if experiencing  symptoms of COVID-19, and continuing to adhere to all health precautionary measures.
