Bahrain : Director-General of School Affairs at the Education Ministry, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Ahmed, met a number of government school principals in the first educational district.
Attended by the Education Ministry’s Undersecretary for Policies, Strategies and Performance, Nawal Ibrahim Al-Khater, assistant undersecretaries, directors and advisors, the meeting is part of the ongoing preparations for the new school year, 2021-2022.
The meeting focused on the main educational and administrative operations for the beginning of the new school year, including the precautionary measures to receive students and staff, teaching and learning, following up on students’ mastery of school subjects through feedback and assessment methods, and el-lessons, in addition to allocating teachers’ timetables and educational and administrative tasks.
The Director-General of School Affairs stressed the need to implement plans to improve academic achievement and reduce the gap between female and male students, especially in the basic scientific subjects at the level of each school.
He also called for commitment to the procedures stipulated in the performance reports of all employees of school institutions, stressing, at the same time, the need for each school to build the appropriate environment and community partnership with students, parents and school community partners.
Nawal Al-Khater stressed the importance of taking all necessary measures to start the school year, and adhering to the instructions contained in the Back-to-School Guidelines, as well as to those included in the remote education during pandemic manual.
She also highlighted the importance of completing the entry of student data into the school management system, especially for new and recently transferred students. In addition to the preparation of school timetables so that students can use all the electronic services available for them.
