Manama: The President of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has tiday paid a visit to the Economic Board (EDB) headquarters at Bahrain Bay. President Solid and the accompanying delegation were received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and other ministers and officials.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the pivotal role of the EDB in supporting the national economy and spurring growth, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He underlined the EDB’s implementation and of initaitives and projects aimed to enhance the performance of the national economy, towards achieving the 2030 Bahrain Vision with its key pillars: sustainability, competitiveness and justice.
EDB Chief Executive Officer for Business Development Ali Al Madea gave a presentation, highlighting Bahrain’s competitiveness, streamlined legislations and the EDB’s pivotal role in attracting investments in vital sectors to create jobs in the domestic market. He highlighted Bahrain’s investment opportunities, outlined the massive economic recovery strategy which entails investment opportunities and development projects worth more than $30 billion.
