Bahrain : Chairman of the Standing Committee for Human Rights and member of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee at the Representatives Council, MP Ammar Al-Bannai, has lauded the Order issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on establishing the “Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit”, praising HM the King’s unwavering support for frontline workers in their fight against the novel Coronavirus, which reflects the royal fatherly care for the Bahraini citizens and appreciation of their dedication in serving their country.
He added that HM the King had created the prestigious medal in recognition of the great sacrifices made by Bahraini medical and nursing staff over the past period, especially the medical competencies who lost their lives while preserving the security and safety of the kingdom.
MP Al-Bannai stressed that the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, of the national efforts to combat the pandemic has motivated the national medical competencies to double their efforts, which led to positive results.
He affirmed that frontline workers have set the best examples of dedication, loyalty, belonging and sacrifice for the sake of the nation, making themselves a source of pride for everyone for their great patriotic role.
Al-Bannai praised the endorsement of the Cabinet, during yesterday’s meeting, held under HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s chairmanship, of a memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on amending the provisions of the decree-law regarding medals, to create the Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit.
