AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation hosted a graduation ceremony for the ninth batch of graduates from the Rayaat Scholarship Program.
A total of 26 graduates from various disciplines, including information technology, software engineering and engineering from the University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic, were feted in the presence of the foundation’s chairwoman of the Board of Trustees HH Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, board members and staff.
Shaikha Zain expressed her great pleasure with the success of the students affiliated with the Rayaat Scholarship Program.
She emphasized the role of graduates in achieving the visions and objectives of the foundation to prepare an educated young generation capable of outstanding performances in various fields of work.
“We have great confidence in the potential and capabilities of the graduates within the Rayaat Scholarship Program, and our keenness was focused on giving them the best opportunities to learn and develop skills to start their professional careers efficiently,” she said.
“The graduates of the Foundation proved their worth and excellence, as they entered the labor market with ease in addition to receiving prizes at the local and regional levels. We congratulate them on this success and encourage them to continue their distinguished efforts and make the nation proud.”
The Rayaat Scholarship Program was launched in 2011, following a comprehensive approach to the education and personal development of Bahraini Youth by providing them with scholarships at accredited universities in the Kingdom.
Other benefits include training opportunities in the public and private sectors and developing skills among the students by providing them with necessary workplace ethics.
The program also aims to enhance the concept of social responsibility towards the Kingdom and encourage students to participate in volunteer work to serve the local community.
Under the Foundation’s focus on raising awareness on the importance of volunteer work and the sense of giving back to the community, each student was required to achieve 30 hours of volunteer work throughout the academic year.
The students participated in various activities and initiatives targeting different segments of society, including activities for people of determination and orphans. They also participated in organizing an entertaining meeting for groups of Bahraini society.
AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, considered as the second family for students, provided them with material and moral support as well as practical training according to their academic specializations, in cooperation with companies and institutions.
