    Representatives Council holds second meeting

    Bahrain : The Council of Representatives today held its second meeting of the fourth session of the Fifth Legislative Term, under the chairmanship of Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal.

    According to Secretary-General, Chancellor Rashid Mohammed Bu n Najma, the meeting was notified about the letters addressed to it by HRH the Prime Minister regarding decree-laws, draft-laws, as well as the annual report and the audited financial statements of the Future Generations Reserve Fund, and referred them to the relevant committees.

    The meeting also discussed the letters of the Parliament Affairs Minister regarding 70 proposals submitted by MPs.

    The Council also approved a proposal, introduced as a matter of urgency, regarding the cancellation or transfer of the location of the “Little India Market” event, set be organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in front of Al-Sahaf Mosque in the capital, Manama, and referred it to the government.
