The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has donated 10,000 high-quality multi-use masks produced by its affiliate productive families to the Interior Ministry.

The move is in line with the recommendations of the “Feena Khair” Campain’s Coordination Committee, which is in charge of distributing aid.

The RHF’s Secretary-General and the Coordination Committee Chairman, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Ameen, said that the initiative aims to support the national efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

It is also in line with the directives of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and the RHF’s Board of Trustees Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, he said.

Dr. Al-Sayed highlighted the ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Interior through a series of initiatives, including the “Your Feed at Your Home” to deliver food baskets to the needy citizens and residents at their homes, in addition to the Ministry’s distribution of masks to those who need them.

It is to be noted that the “Feena Khair” Campaign’s Coordination Committee is implementing a package of projects, worth BD 17.3 million, to support the segments that have been affected by COVID-19.

The allocated BD 17.3 million-budget is used to support needy segments, productive families, and business owners who are not subject to the insurance system.

The budget has been dedicated to providing computers to students from needy families, contributing to sanitising towns and villages, providing food baskets, within the “Your Food at Your Home”, studying the establishment of an epidemics treatment centre, supporting distant learning applications and helping people with unpaid fines.
