The Saudi Ministry of Interior has set out certain conditions for citizens to fulfill in order to travel to Bahrain, according to an official source at the ministry.
In a statement on early Monday, the interior ministry said that the travel requirements have been laid down on recommendations of the concerned health authorities in order to preserve public health.
According to the source, the mandatory requirements to travel to Bahrain are the following:
- Travelers must be over the age of 18.
- The health status on their Tawakkalna application must be immune. They must have taken complete doses of an approved coronavirus vaccine or have recovered from the disease. This does not include those vaccinated with a single dose.
However, the move exempts those holding a diplomatic visa, diplomats and their companions, official delegations, air and marine crew, truck drivers and their assistants, and those involved in health supply chains.
The source stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures, and not to be complacent in applying health requirements, such as social distancing, wearing a face mask, continuously disinfecting hands, and applying the approved protocols.
He explained that all procedures and measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the Saudi National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Weqaya).
