Manama : Bahraini athlete Sami Ghazwan has outclassed 56 competitors from Arab and European Countries en route to triumphing at the Saudi Show Jumping Championship. The Bahraini participant produced an incredible performance throughout the competition and deservedly won first place, defeating an elite group of competitors from Arab and European states.
This was Ghazwan’s first international appearance after 10-year hiatus. Commenting on this accomplishment, Ghazwan thanks HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) for his support and backing for all the Bahraini participants in international events. He also expressed his utmost happiness at this success which came despite the intense competition from a long list of strong athletes.
He explained that the new achievement represents a new motivator to double his efforts and always strive to earn the best results abroad, adding that he is keen to always give his best. It’s worth noting that the event featured 115cm hurdles, and Ghazwan’s flawless performance clocked 20 seconds and 97 fractions of a second.
