Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas.
Al-Bilad and Al-Yaum newspapers said in their editorials that the partial lifting of the curfew measures began yesterday, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia launches a qualitative leap in the process of confronting the Coronavirus pandemic.
The papers pointed to the royal directives that orders to immediately provide the tests, devices, supplies, and medications to tackle the emerging novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The papers also said that in implementation of the royal directives, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has signed a SR 995 million contract with the Government of the People’s Republic of China to provide nine million tests to diagnose the COVID-19, covering nine million people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that the partial lifting of the curfew reflected the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s government in alleviating the citizens and residents, especially after achieving progress in the efforts of confronting the Coronavirus.
The paper said that the gradually return of some economic activities to the line will ease the life of citizens and residents, and return the life to the arteries of the economy.
