    Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has affirmed that the National Action Charter and the Constitution are the essential pillars of the national laws and legislation, noting that the Bahraini constitution is among the advanced constitutions on which the strategies and development programmes are based.

    Al-Saleh was speaking while receiving here Dr. Hassan Al-Maawali, who presented him a copy of his doctoral thesis, entitled “The Problem of Amending Constitutions in the Mixed System – An Analytical Study”.

    The Shura Chairman commended the efforts exerted by Dr. Al-Maawali to compile his thesis. He praised the results and recommendations included in the doctoral thesis, stressing that they will enrich the legal library in the kingdom.

    Dr. Al-Maawali hailed the Shura Chairman’s interest in encouraging researchers and graduate students in order to continue preparing research and studies that would enhance the field of scientific research in the Kingdom.
