Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa chaired a remote security meeting, in the presence of his Deputy Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dusari, Southern Governorate Police Director General Colonel Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa and a number of officers.
The Southern Governor welcomed the audience, lauding coordination between the Southern Governorate and the Police Directorate to promote awareness. He also praised citizens’ cooperation in implementing the necessary preemptive procedures.
He also got updated, through a visual presentation, on the initiatives carried out by the Southern Governorate, in cooperation with the directorate, within the framework of “Feena Khair” national campaign.
The presentation, given by Security Coordination Officer Captain Mohammed Bu-Shelebi, showed the spirit of social unity and humanitarian participation during the Holy Month of Ramadhan with the distribution of 314,000 Iftar meals at 12 points all over the governorate.
The Southern Governor was also informed about the necessary security measures taken by the Police Directorate. He lauded the positive results of the directorate’s plan during the current period. He was also updated on the procedures taken to determine buildings with high density of workers through a field survey in all regions.
He also listened to the latest statistics related to security issues which showed a decrease by 44.6% in cases during the Holy Month of Ramadan, compared to last year, which reflects the level of security awareness in the governorate.
The Southern Governor underlined the efforts of the governorate, in cooperation with the Police Directorate, in taking all preemptive measures with all security bodies to boost safety throughout the governorate.
