Manama : Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam stressed the significance of supporting the national sporting activities and achieving the desired goals under the comprehensive development march of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He also praised the efforts of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister in developing the youth and sport sector.
He was speaking as he received Chairman of the Bahrain and International Federations of Sports for All, Head of the High Organizing Committee of Bahrain Sport Day, Isa Mohammed Abdulrahim, who presented to the Council of Representatives an open invitation to participate in Bahrain Sports Day which will be held over three days in February.
The Speaker stressed the council’s support to Bahrain sport in light of the continuous efforts exerted by Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He also congratulated Isa Abdulrahim on the trust bestowed upon him by SCYS Deputy Chairman, President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, by assigning the organization of Bahrain Sports Day to Bahrain Sport for All Federation and tasking him with presiding the High Organizing Committee for the second year in a row.
Isa Abdulrahim expressed gratitude to the Speaker for welcoming the invitation to participate in the event, stressing that the event will have a positive impact on the sport sector in Bahrain.
