    Tamkeen’s support reached 4.5 billion Bahrain dinars

    Dr. Waleed Al Manea, Undersecretary of MOH confirmed the launch of the telemedicine services at the press conference held by the National team to Combat COVID-19.

    He stressed the importance of continuing resolutely with precautionary measures to avoid rising cases that happened after Eid al Fitr.

    Dr. Ebrahim Janahi, CEO of Tamkeen confirmed that supporting sectors affected by the coronavirus pandemic have reached 4.5 billion Bahraini dinars.

    Dr. Janahi replied to the Starvision News’s question to support media companies, he mentioned among the 15,600 enterprises, among them are media and advertising companies which was added in the first phase and they received Tamkeen’s support. In the second phase, they are categorized as the most affected sectors and adding other sectors will delay Tamkeen’s initiatives.

    Dr. Janahi added those who are not registered and need to appeal and Tamkeen will check their criteria. Tamkeen supported media before the pandemic for 13 years for the continuity of their businesses and supporting media projects.

    Dr. Manaf Al Qahtani said that the efforts to combat COVID-19 and mitigate the effects were not limited to the health sector in the kingdom, also included all the sectors.

    Dr. Qahtani requested everyone to avoid gatherings and maintain social distancing during Eid.
