Bahrain : Based on the recommendations of the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) announces an update to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s entry procedures for passengers arriving via Bahrain International Airport.

Starting from Sunday, 19 December 2021, the Red List country system will be replaced with a mandatory PCR certificate, bearing a QR code, administered no more than 48 hours before boarding their inbound flight, for all travellers arriving in the Kingdom of Bahrain aged 6 years and above.

PCR testing on the day of arrival, and the fifth and tenth days after arrival, where applicable, is also mandatory for all travellers entering the Kingdom.

The CAA notes that these decisions have been taken to preserve public health in light of the global spread of the Omicron variant.

The CAA adds that all precautionary health measures currently in force will continue, and that entry procedures for the Kingdom of Bahrain can be viewed through the Ministry of Health’s website on: healthalert.gov.bh.
