    Djokovic through to semi finals
    Novak Djokovic picked up a comfortable win over Kei Nishikori on Thursday to qualify for the men’s tennis semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
    In the quarter-finals of the competition, the Serb beat his Japanese opponent 6-2, 6-0 in a match that lasted 70 minutes at the Ariake Tennis Park in Tokyo.
     Biles appreciative of support
    After speaking out about the mental health issues she has been dealing with, Simone Biles has received several messages of support by fans and athletes and took to social media to express her gratitude.
    Biles had previously broke down the problems she is facing and explained her decision to pull out of the women’s gymnastics final at the Tokyo Olympics.
    “The outpouring love and support I’ve received has made me realise I’m more than my accomplishments and gymnastics which I never truly believed before,” Biles wrote on Twitter.
    First ever medal for San Marino
    The tiny nation of San Marino celebrated its first ever Olympic medal on Thursday, as Alessandra Perilli secured bronze in the shooting trap women’s final. An incredible achievement.
    Dressel wins first individual gold
    Caeleb Dressel set a new Olympic record in the 100m freestyle to pick up his first ever individual gold. His previous three gold medals came in the relay but the most dominant swimmer of the post-Michael Phelps era lived up to the hype at a Games where several U.S. stars have faltered.
