The Ministry of Health and Prevention confirmed 283 new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the overall number of people who tested positive in the UAE to 2359.
In a statement posted on the UAE news agency (WAM), the ministry said that the infected people, who are from different nationalities, were detected among those who contacted previous cases, adding that they are all in stable condition.
The ministry announced in its statement the death of an Asian expatriate who was suffering from chronic diseases, bringing the overall number of pandemic fatalities to 12.
