    Coronavirus: UAE reports 1 death, 626 new cases, after reaching 2.5 million tests

    UAE has announced 626 new cases, and 1 fatality from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total cases in the country to 38,268, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).

    The new death takes the total fatalities to 275.

    724 new recoveries were also announced, bringing the total recoveries to 21,061. This means over 55 percent of the confirmed cases have fully recovered from the virus.

    The new cases were found after conducting more than 52,000 coronavirus tests across the country.

    A total of 2.5 million COVID-19 tests were conducted across the country to date.

    The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all patients.

    The UAE Government has also announced that 50 percent of the employees in the federal authorities will return to work from tomorrow.
