Bahrain : Under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and on the instructions of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Honourary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), the grand race on HM the King Endurance Cup will take place on Saturday, covering a distance of 160km as part of HM the King Endurance Cup Festival, held at the Bahrain International Endurance Festival. All eyes will be fixed on the race which will exhibit wide participation.
Meanwhile, His Highness followed the juniors’ and the private stables’ races which took place as part of HM King Hamad Endurance Festival. The races covered a distance of 120km, held at Bahrain International Endurance Village.
HH Shaikh Nasser was keen to watch the race’s stages, and provide valuable directions to the participants as well as cheer them to encourage them to give their all. Commenting on the race, HH Shaikh Nasser underlined the prominent performances featured during the competition, adding that they underscore the successful march of the private stables in the endurance sport locally. His Highness also thanked the sponsors of the Festival, including Tamkeen, Batelco, Al Namal Group, Alba, Al Sharif Group, Huawei, Al Salam Bank, GFH Financial Group, BBK, Ithmar Bank, Bahrain Development Bank, Hashim AlWedaei Law Firm, SAARA Group, Petro World and Ascon.
His Highness pointed out that the coming races of the Festival will showcase further excitement. “Juniors and youth’s races contribute to achieving many objectives via paving the way for an ideal environment for the participating jockeys who will be the future of the Bahraini endurance,” HH Shaikh Nasser explained, congratulating the winners of the races.
Winners
It’s worth noting that the winners were crowned by HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF. Nayef Hassan Al Boluchi of Al Zaeem Stable triumphed at the private stables’ race after clocking 05 hours, 30 minutes and 45 seconds. Shaikh Saqer bin Khalid Al Khalifa of Ahmed Al Fateh Stable came second in 05 hours, 40 minutes, and 52 seconds, while third place went to Sama Masfaka of Enjaz Stable who posted a time of 05 hours, 43 minutes and 52 seconds. Defending champion Isa Hameed Al Enzi of the Victorious Stable successfully managed to retain his title in the juniors and youth’s race, clocking 04 hours, 33 minutes and 14 seconds.
