Bahrain :  Passengers travelling via King Fahd Causeway were urged to comply with mandatory precautionary measures set by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating

    COVID-19.

Travellers have to provide a Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)  and evidence of their vaccination as required, said the Causeway Police Directorate at the General Directorate for Border Exit Security.

The Directorate urged everyone to abide by the law and to submit a valid PCR,  noting that any fraud in this regard is considered a crime punishable by the law.

In a statement today, it said that violators caught in breach would be sentenced up to 10 years, warning that whoever provides assistance in this crime would be considered an accomplice.

The directorate said that the mandatory precautionary measures aim to protect public health and safety and limit the spread of the virus, stressing that community awareness is the main pillar to achieve the desired goals and ensure the success of Bahrain’s efforts in facing the pandemic.
