Bahrain : Victorious Team jockey Isa Al Enzi won the international endurance race, which covered the distance of 120 kilometres, clocking 4 hours, 55 minutes, 40 seconds.
Victorious Team jockey Mohammed Al Hashemi and Al Zaim jockey Shahd Waleed, finished second and third, clocking respectively 4.55.45 hrs and 5.07.11 hrs.
The opening international race started at the new Ras Al Bar Village and ended at Bahrain International Endurance Village.
It was held under the patronage of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) Honorary President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Vice President, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) member, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa also attended.
Breef Chairman HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa crowned the winner, Al Enzi, as well as Al Hashemi and Waleed, who were also on the podium.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his delight at the achievement of Victorious jockeys, adding that the team is resolved to continue its winning streak. He also lauded Al Zaim team which finished third in the race.
He praised the efforts of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef), chaired by HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to ensure the success of the scheduled races.
Meanwhile, A 1 Stables jockey Mohammed Khalid dominated the 100-km international race, clocking 5.10.50 hrs, followed by Ramzi Mohammed and Nasser Khalifa (N13 Stables both), who covered the distance in 5.32.36 hrs and 5.33.35 hrs respectively.
Victorious Team also won The Best Horse Condition Award contest was held for both international races, under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, Captain of Al Fursan Team.
