    Video: Legal actions against face mask violators

    Police were given directives to continue taking legal actions against face mask-wearing violators in public places. This was announced by the Ministry of the Interior through its official social media accounts.

    The ministry emphasized on the importance of the commitment to social distancing. It assured that these precautions were at the forefront of the precautionary measures required to limit the spread of COVID-19.

    The country has reported 469 new cases of coronavirus, among 250 expatriate workers, 198 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 21 are travel-related, after conducting over 7,000 additional COVID-19 tests.

    The death toll has risen to 47.

    Meanwhile, 70 additional recoveries from COVID-19 were reported.

    The total cases have driven to 19,013 of which 13,267 have recovered, which means that over 69 percent of the confirmed cases have recovered from the virus. Currently, there are 5,699 active cases.

    Also, there are 135 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 19 are in a critical condition.

    So far the country has conducted 432,409 tests, which is among the highest when looking at the country’s population.
