    Video: Over 240 Thai Nationals return home

    The Royal Thai Embassy in Bahrain facilitated the repatriation of over 240 Thai nationals. According to the Embassy, the returnees faced unemployment or were employed in saloons, restaurants and spas which were affected due to the pandemic.

    H.E. Thanis Na Songkhla, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand and Kanita Sapphaisal, the Head of Consular Affairs of Thailand and other Thai Embassy staff helped with the facilitation of distressed Thai nationals. The embassy noted that this was the second repatriation flight and a total of 314 Thai nationals have returned home.

    Meanwhile, the Royal Thai Embassy as part of the “Caring-Sharing” Campaign distributed thousands of dry food kits. The initiative was organized by the Embassy in collaboration with the Thai Club, Thai Sports Club and generous Thai individuals.

    The campaign was aimed to help and support Thai communities in Bahrain affected by the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19. Dry rations which include rice, instant noodles, fish cans, and drinks were distributed by Thai volunteers in several areas.
