Manama: Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning has recently received 63 Interns from University of Bahrain as well as from private universities as part of their summer course needs, which counts towards their total credit. The students are from different majors, ranging from civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering to accounting, media, and chemistry. The ministry held an informational meeting, in which specialists of the HR department have presented a brief and general explanation to the interns about the general aim of the summer training project that the MoW is aiming for.
They also focused on the communal responsibility of the ministry in its mutual cooperation with universities and institutes to qualify Bahraini trainees for the labor market as they are the future of the work environment. The students were divided into the appropriate directorates depending on their majors and specialisations. It is worth noting that the period of training is two months, starting from July until the end of August. At the end of the training period, the ministry will provide a statement proving the attendance of the trainee during the specified period. This project of training students from University of Bahrain as well as other universities is one of the pillars that display the values of partnership and integration between organisations, and government and private bodies, through which the ministry aspires to develop the Bahraini human resources.
