Bahrain : Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayyed congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the success of Bahraini athlete, Kalkidan Gezahegne, in winning the silver medal of the women’s 10,000m race in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
He hailed the landmark Olympic achievement which, he said, represents the fruit of the wise leadership’s care for the sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The minister commended the support and keen follow-up of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Head of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa
